Yes — on ground-floor concrete slabs, which most Austin homes have. Living rooms, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms, and laundry rooms are all great spots. Metallic epoxy is the most popular choice indoors.
Can epoxy go over my tile or vinyl plank?
No — for a floor that lasts, the old flooring comes up first and the slab is ground clean. Removal is priced right on the quote form: carpet $0.75–$1.25, vinyl plank $1.25–$2.00, and tile $2.50–$4.00 per square foot.
Is an epoxy floor cold or slippery inside?
It feels like any hard floor, similar to tile. A fine anti-slip additive can be mixed into the top coat for kitchens, bathrooms, and homes with pets or kids.
How long will I be out of those rooms?
A typical living area takes 2–4 days from tear-out to top coat. You can walk on it about 24 hours after the last coat and move furniture back in 2–3 days.

Can I buy the epoxy kit myself and just pay for labor?
Yes. On the quote form, answer “Yes — I have the materials” and the material cost comes off automatically. Store-bought kits are thinner than pro systems, so we’ll tell you honestly if yours isn’t a good match for your floor.
